Debi Makhsoospuri

Debi original name Gurdev Singh Gill was born on 10 June in the village Makhsoospur, in Hoshiarpur (Punjab). He now lives in Canada.

Makhsoospuri got his break at the age of 20 when he started writing for Kuldeep Manak. Since then he has written songs and poetry for artists such as Sardool Sikander, Hans Raj Hans, Manmohan Waris and Kamal Heer. He made his singing debut in 1994 with the album Jad Maa Nayi Rehndi. He has released 13 studio albums and 4 live albums.
