A legend in the Indian music industry with a career spanning over 40 years. Known for his versatility, he has sung across multiple genres and is widely considered as an Indian-fusion trailblazer.
His success in the Bollywood music industry continues to date with timeless classics through his collaboration with AR Rehman including Bombay, Roja, Rangeela, Taal, Swades, and Guru. Other notable cinema contributions include Maachis, Khamoshi, Laksyha, Sapnay and Lamhe. He also formed Colonial Cousins with Leslie Lewis where they revolutionised Eastern and Western music collaborating on 4 albums together. They have won a string of awards including the MTV Indian Viewers’ Choice award and Billboard Award for the Best Asian Music Group. Aside from his contribution to cinema, Hariharan also has over 30 solo albums, notably the global success of Hazir, Gulfam and Kaash. Hariharan worked with tabla maestro Zakir Hussain on his album Hazir.
